An employee at Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens in Nagoya found a decaying body on Tuesday, police said Wednesday. According to police, the corpse, whose gender and age are as yet undetermined, was found at around 3:25 p.m. in a forest area of the park, Kyodo News reported. Staff at Higashiyama Zoo and police said the body was on a slope near a pathway where anyone can walk without paying an entrance fee. A park visitor reported a strange odor to an employee who found the body. Police said an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
